Muhammad Ali and Ramon Santiago paint teapots to benefit Arts Council
Muhammad Ali and Ramon Santiago are among the 39 celebrities who have decorated and autographed teapots to benefit the Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester. The "Celebrity Teapot Auction and Afternoon Tea" will be held at the Kate Gleason Auditorium, Rochester Central Library, Rochester, NY, on Sunday, November 12, 2 to 4 p.m.
Carol Ritter, Democrat and Chronicle columnist, is the Auctioneer. The Auction will begin at 2:30 p.m. Teapots may be viewed prior to November 12 in the Periodical Reading Room at the Rochester Central Library. They may also be viewed prior to the Auction from 2 to 2:30 p.m.
The Celebrity Teapot Auction is co-sponsored by the Arts & Cultural Council and The Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County. Corporate sponsors of the Auction are Bisque & Brush, a Paint Your Own Pottery Place; Rochester Gas & Electric Corporation; and Time Warner Communications.
