Legal Assistance
The Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester provides a legal assistance resource list for eligible artists and non-profit organizations on a variety of issues.
Assistance is available on a wide range of issues including intellectual property, non-profit incorporation, federal tax-exempt status, contract review, and more.
To obtain our resource list of specialized attorneys you must be a current subscriber of the Arts & Cultural Council for Greater Rochester. Organizations seeking legal assistance must have a current-year operating budget of no greater than $600,000. Individuals must have a household income no greater than 200% of the federal poverty guideline, as established by the United States Department of Health and Human Services. The Arts & Cultural Council periodically offers workshops that address common legal issues in the field of arts & culture (fees may apply).
