Health Insurance for Artists
The Arts Council offers health insurance through Blue Cross Blue Shield of the Rochester Area at group rates to individual artists members who live in Monroe, Livingston, Yates, Ontario, Seneca, or Wayne counties.
This service is provided because self-employed artists may not have another way of getting group rates through an employer. By subscribing through a group, the artists often receive more health insurance benefits than available through an individual direct plan.
